Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This product is a fukuro obi recommended for casual occasions.
The beautiful gradation of brown (iron black) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Encyclopedia) is dyed onto washi paper.
This is a rare obi made by cutting thin strips of Japanese paper and weaving them into the obi in place of the weft thread.
Enjoy a casual look by pairing it with solid colors, small patterns, tsumugi, etc.
I think this is a very versatile obi that goes well with kimonos with both classic and modern patterns, and can easily change the atmosphere by using accessories.
It's simple and easy to match, yet has a stylish feel and looks like a very well-tied obi.
There are creases around the torso where it has been worn, and the washi paper in that area is damaged.
There are also traces of black thread repairing some loose parts on the stomach area.
There are also some areas where the washi paper is twisted.
