This product is a fukuro obi recommended for casual outfits.
Brown (mulberry white brown) (see the definitive Japanese color encyclopedia) The ground is Ushiku Tsumugi. The accent patterns are made with two embroidery styles: Shantou embroidery and Sagara embroidery.
Sagara embroidery and Shantou embroidery, along with Suzhou embroidery, are known as the "Three Great Embroideries of China."
Sagara embroidery is also called "Tamanui" and its three-dimensional effect is its greatest appeal. It is possible to create such detailed expressions that it is difficult to tell it is embroidery when viewed from a distance.
Shantou embroidery is also known as "silk carving." If you look closely, you will see that there are many holes in the fabric that look like patterns. It is a very labor-intensive embroidery technique in which holes are manually made in plain fabric and patterns are embroidered on it.
This obi combines these two techniques on Ushiku Tsumugi, a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture.
Please coordinate it with solid colors, small patterns, and tsumugi.
There is a part below the drum pattern where the thread comes out in a loop.
This part will probably be hidden once you put it on, but please check the photo.
There are no other stains or dirt, so it is perfectly wearable as a reused item.
