Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
An elegant item featuring red and pink flowers on an off-white (creamy white, as referenced in "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten") ground.
The lining, front ends, and back ends are a vibrant red, creating a beautiful contrast with the white ground.
The pattern is placed as an accent, with the same floral pattern on the front abdominal section as on the otaiko (drum knot).
Made of chirimen fabric, in Nagoya style tailoring.
A firm obi core is used, so the mountain line of the otaiko should form beautifully.
Please coordinate and wear with iromuji, komon, tsumugi, etc.
There are several wrinkles and some dye splatters are visible. Red and blue dye marks are present on the white ground, which are quite noticeable, but they would likely be hidden once the obi is tied.
Other than that, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, making this item perfectly usable as a recycled product.
