Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
A gorgeous item with colorful Kyoto-style Bingata dyeing on a white (off-white) background (※refer to Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten).
The pattern covers the entire obi, with colorful flowers and pine trees stencil-dyed over a deep blue flowing water pattern.
It's easy to match with kimonos of any color, and it's likely to be an obi you'll wear often.
Made of chirimen fabric, tailored in the Nagoya style. A soft core is used, but it doesn't seem to be so flimsy that it's difficult to tie.
Coordinate it with iromuji (solid color kimono), komon (small patterned kimono), etc.
Overall, it is in very good condition, with no visible stains or dirt, and is perfectly wearable as a recycled item.
In the center of the tare-saki (hanging end), there appears to be a section where a stamp mark is woven in.
(A faint rectangular frame and numbers can be seen in that area.)
It is not very noticeable, but please check the photos before purchasing.
The overall photo shows the closest color, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
