Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The ground color is a deep blue-gray (steel color) (※refer to Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten).
The taiko section features a pattern biased to the right, with bamboo and autumn foliage-like leaves designed in subdued yellowish-green and gray on a bright gray ground.
The pattern on the front abdomen is the same as the taiko, set within uneven square frames.
This Nagoya obi creates a chic atmosphere with its落ち着いた配色 and clean design.
Made of chirimen fabric, it has a very soft and supple feel.
Since it is an open-ended obi, you can adjust the width to your liking. It is especially recommended for tall individuals who feel that the width around the waist of a Nagoya-style obi is slightly insufficient.
Please enjoy coordinating it with kimonos such as iromuji, komon, or tsumugi.
There is some fading on the upper part of the taiko pattern.
Most people should be able to conceal this part when tying the obi, but please check the photos before purchasing.
