This is a Nagoya obi made of Tsumugi silk, featuring a Kyoto-style bingata dye, recommended for casual occasions.
This obi has a vibrant feel, with a striking reddish base (cinnabar color, *refer to the definitive "Japanese Color Dictionary"*) and a plump-looking Shochikubai (pine, bamboo, and plum) pattern dyed onto it.
The color scheme is commonly seen in Western clothing, so it should be easy for kimono beginners to incorporate.
Please wear it with iromuji (solid color kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), or Tsumugi.
We recommend coordinating it with a plain kimono, making the obi the main focus of the outfit.
Paired with a light-colored kimono, it creates an elegant and gentle atmosphere.
