This Kyoto Bingata Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The background color is a calm blue (iron-grape color) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
Seasonal flowers, plants, and mountain scenery are stencil-dyed among the clouds.
The contrast between the blue background and the bright yellow and orange pattern is very vivid.
Although it is a solid, classic pattern, it also has a somewhat pop impression.
Please wear it with plain colors, small patterns, or tsumugi.
To make the obi stand out, it is recommended to pair it with a plain kimono, but since each pattern on the obi is small, it would also go well with a patterned kimono.
It is made in Nagoya style, and the obi core is very thin and soft.
