Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a Shiose Nagoya obi, recommended for semi-formal coordination. It features a base of deep, subdued reddish-brown (tobiiro, as referenced in the Teihon Wairo Jiten). With many colors like orange, light blue, yellow, and green, this item has a gentle impression with its woven classical patterns. The pattern is zen-tsu (all-over). Please coordinate it with iromuji, komon, tsumugi, or lighter tsukesage kimonos. This obi appears to have originally been tailored in the Nagoya style and then re-stitched into the Matsuba style. Perhaps for this reason, there is a distinct fold line across the entire body, so while it is now Matsuba tailored, it might be difficult to adjust the width to your height. Otherwise, it is in good condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, making it perfectly wearable as a recycled item. The overall photo shows the closest color, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
