Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The subdued yellow (ocher) ground color (refer to the Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten) is a blend of colorful hues such as red, green, brown, and orange when observed closely.
The center of the obi features a Tang flower pattern woven in subdued yellow on a subdued matcha green, creating a beautiful piece with gracefully extending vertical lines.
The pattern covers six areas (rokutsu) and it is tailored in the Matsuba style.
As the width can be adjusted to your height, it is also recommended for taller individuals.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), etc.
This type of obi is made from thin, crisp fabric and tailored without a lining.
It folds compactly and seems resistant to wrinkles, making it suitable for travel.
