Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This product is a Karaori obi recommended for semi-formal wear.
A gorgeous obi with a black (black) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) background and auspicious patterns such as pine, bamboo, plum and treasures scattered throughout.
Karaori, which was introduced from China (Tang Dynasty), is a technique in which patterns are created with thick weft threads as the fabric is woven, so the raised patterns look like embroidery.
This obi has a soft texture and is not too heavy even though it has so many patterns.
Please wear it with a formal kimono, a tsukesage kimono, or a plain-colored kimono.
There is no sign of use, no stains or dirt, and although there is a loose thread on the front surface, it is still perfectly wearable as a reused item.
The colour is closest to what you see in the overall photo, but it may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
