Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This product is a bag-shaped obi made by Shiraayaen Oba and recommended for semi-formal occasions.
The background is a gradation (red bengara color) (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) with small flowers such as wisteria and chrysanthemums and cloisonne patterns woven into it.
The phoenix mark (bird mark) on the inside of the sash is a registered trademark that Hakuryoen Ohba has used since its founding, and was created with a phoenix motif.
Obata's distinctive features are bold designs and color schemes that catch the viewer's eye.
They continue to create unique designs, and make obi for a variety of occasions, from the more subdued tea ceremony to tsumugi, iro-muji, houmongi, tomesode, and furisode.
This obi can be worn with kimonos such as tsukesage, iro-muji, komon, and plain tsumugi.
There are no visible stains or dirt, and the item is in perfect condition for reuse.
There are traces of the obi being folded in half around the waist, and wrinkles from wearing just above the drum on the back of the obi.
Also, part of the stitching at the end of the hanging part (where the phoenix mark is visible) has come undone.
