This product is a bag-shaped obi made by Nishijin obi manufacturer "Shikou."
Shiko specializes in creating kimono obi belts, and has the unique style of handling everything from manufacturing to wholesaling.
We have been making Nishijin obi since 1954.
Since it is something to be worn, emphasis is placed on texture and ease of fastening, and the fabric is designed to be thin, light, and flexible by tightly weaving many fine threads into both the warp and weft.
This fukuro obi has a silver (white-grey) base (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary) with a cobblestone pattern woven into it as a highlight design.
This obi has an atmosphere that would go well with formal kimono, tsukesage, plain-colored kimono, and simple komon kimonos as well.
The pattern is easy to match with modern kimonos, so it seems like it will be useful in a wide range of situations.
There are no visible stains or dirt, so it is perfectly wearable as a reused item.
The colour is closest to what you see in the overall photo, but it may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
