Characteristics and condition of Fukuro Obi | Used and recycled Fukuro Obi
This obi is made by Juraku, a prestigious Kyoto company.
A gorgeous fukuro-obi with large cherry blossoms and leaves on a black background. The pattern runs six ways.
As the name suggests, the beautiful, sparkling leaves change color from green to purple depending on the angle from which you view them.
On both sides of the obi, there are shiny gold leaves and lots of small silver cherry blossoms scattered throughout. The subtle vertical lines make the obi look neat and tidy.
It can be worn not only with formal kimono such as furisode, black tomesode, colored tomesode, houmongi, tsukesage, and iro-muji, but also with komon with classic patterns.
The base is a beautiful black, but the colors of the main cherry blossom flowers and leaves are bright and vibrant, so it will stand out when paired with a dark-colored kimono, and when paired with a light-colored kimono, the black base color will give the look a clean, neat look.
There are no visible stains or dirt, so it is perfectly wearable and can be reused.
