White wedding kimono

Shiromuku | Traditional Japanese Wedding Attire

Shiromuku is a traditional Japanese wedding garment characterized by an all-white ensemble, from the outer kimono (uchikake) and undergarment (kakeshita) to the obi and accessories. It has been passed down as the most prestigious attire for a bride in traditional Japanese weddings, including Shinto ceremonies.

Despite being entirely white, each garment offers a unique expression through its patterns—such as cranes, pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms—and the weave of the fabric, allowing for an elegant and dignified appearance.

At Yukinuwa, we carefully inspect and select each individual pre-owned or recycled shiromuku that we offer. From classic motifs to contemporary designs, please review the patterns, materials, sizes, and conditions of each item before making your selection.
