Dress appropriately for formal occasions

Tomesode is the first formal attire worn by women on formal occasions such as weddings and prestigious official events . It is characterized by short sleeves and elaborate patterns only on the hem, and combines elegance and splendor.

There are two main types of Tomesode.

  • Kurotomesode : The most formal attire worn by married women. It features the family crest and is chosen as the attire for the bride and groom's mother and other relatives at weddings.
  • Colored Tomesode : Tomesode with a base color other than black. They can be worn by both unmarried and married women, and those with five crests are considered to be of the same rank as black Tomesode.
