We recommend a long half-width obi.
Hanhaba obi is a versatile item! Great for both kimono and yukata
Hello, I'm Yukiwa!
This may be a bit sudden, but do you like half-width obi (sashes) ?
Personally, my favorite and most commonly used obi is the half-width obi.
It can be worn with komon, tsumugi, plain colored clothes without crests, and even yukata.
It's a very versatile obi!
The size of your obi is surprisingly important!
The length of obi can be broadly divided into two types: "regular size" and "long size."
However, when choosing a half-width obi, it is recommended that you check the size more precisely .
Choose the length according to how you want to tie it.
A typical long half-width obi is about 380 to 400 cm .
With this length, you can tie it in many ways, such as the "Obunko" style, "Ribbon Kaeshi" style, and "Kichiya Musubi" style.
However, if the obi is over 430cm long ...

The material is also important! Choose according to the purpose
If you're just going to wear it with a yukata, a lightweight polyester material will suffice.
However, for those who want to match it with a kimono, we recommend a silk half-width obi .
In particular, Hakata-ori is breathable and easy to tie, making it perfect for both yukata and kimono.
I think other weaves are also OK as long as they match the atmosphere of the outfit (←this is my personal opinion♪).

A reversible half-width obi can be enjoyed even more as its look can be changed depending on how you tie it!
