This is a Kiyomizu-yaki obidome.
It was created after the appearance of the Kyoto kettle and has been used since the Keicho era to the present day.
A smiling calico cat is depicted on a pale orange (koji-iro) background.
It's large and eye-catching, and has an indescribable cuteness that cat lovers will love.
Using an obidome will give you a stylish look.
This is a casual obi fastener, and the width of the metal fitting is a little wide at 1.3 cm, so it will be more stable if you use a 4-quarter cord rather than a 3-quarter cord.
The yobun-himo is the same as the sanbun-himo, and is a special obi-jime for attaching an obi-dome.
It is thinner and finer than a normal obijime, and is also shorter in length.
Also, since there are no tassels on the ends, they do not get in the way when threading the obi-jime.
The combination of quarter-length obi cord and obidome is very convenient as it can be matched not only with kimono but also with yukata.
